New York City is made up of five boroughs;
Manhattan, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island. The 5 borough’s are linked by a series of bridges, tunnels, and ferries. Manhattan is an island; the Bronx is north of Manhattan and on the mainland; Queens and Brooklyn are on the Western tip of Long Island, which stretches east into the Atlantic Ocean.

The West Village has a rich history, it has culture, and is charming and colorful as any neighborhood in New York City. The West Village still has its
mélange of narrow streets from its early days as a small country village. Today, The West Village is the home and mecca for the bohemian, the hip, writers, artists, intellectuals, radicals, actors and many students as well.

Many families live here, as well as many professionals. Its known for its quiet
streets, small townhomes and profusion of cafes, shops, small intimate theatres, bodegas, boutiques and music clubs. Along the Hudson River, many new luxury residential buildings offer splendid views of the river and the city as well. Given all this history, color and cool, it's easy to see why the West Village is one of the city's most popular neighborhoods in which to live.
